We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Quality Control Officer

Job ID: 3235
Job Location: Sagamu, Ogun

Responsibilities
Raw & Packaging material Quality Assurance:

  • Sample and test packaging and raw materials from suppliers for conformity to set specifications

    .
  • Approve or reject supplied inputs based on their quality status.
  • Monitor Shavers Assembly unit.
  • Ensure proper storage to avert contamination.
  • Reinforce FIFO during issuance and use

Component Moulding Quality Assurance:

  • To ensure line clearance is done to avoid mixing of different materials /master batches /pigments.
  • For each production line, prepare a line reference standard of the specified component and submit for review and authentication by the QA Manager.
  • Carry out quality checks on all defined parameters for barrels, supports, tubes, buttons, caps, stems to ensure the components manufactured conforms to set specifications.

Ink filling Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure line changeovers checks are done before ink fill line starts.
  • Take extra measures to avoid change over ink cross contamination
  • Evaluate at set time intervals, the defined ink fill attributes (test writing, ink content, writing quality, swedging, Free ink level etc.).
  • Identify defects that may impact on the functional attributes of the ink fill (compromise writing /requirements set by LSNL/BIC)
  • Capture rejects, scrap data, trend and initiate timely corrective actions

Customer/ consumer complaints and Trade Returns:

  • Evaluate and prepare test reports specifying quality status of any complaint and the action to be taken
  • Record complaints data, trend and initiate timely corrective actions

LSNL/BIC Assembly operations (Ball point pens and Shavers):

  • Ensure line clearance is done to avoid mixing of different customer orders and relevant check sheet are prepared and signed
  • Check and verify that the components and packaging materials issued for product assembly conform to set quality requirements and either approve for use or reject the defective components
  • Prepare reports for all test samples collected online
  • Record rejects, scrap data, trend and initiate timely corrective actions
  • Ensure all non-conforming materials are well segregated and properly disposed of
  • Carefully examine pen points/shavers, identify for defects that can affect writing and shaving performance
  • Prepare a line reference standard for each production line and submit for review and authentication by the QA Manager
  • Check the wooden hammers used for manual assembly have good quality rubber on both sides to avoid damaging the point.
  • Perform hanging hole test at interval and report accordingly.
  • Verify all screen print coupons before start of production. Review screen printed pens against approved sample
  • Ensure that the correct quantities are packed at the weighing area and the correct batches and customer names are well coded as planned
  • Bar coding controls –control of issuance to ensure specificity to product, conduct scan testing

Calibration - Weights & Measures:

  • Carry out daily weighing scale checks(calibration)
  • Document calibration results and submit for review
  • Identify & Isolate any faulty equipment’s
  • Set and check of measurement gauges for accurate dimension achievement.

Housekeeping:

  • To keep QA laboratory, tidy always

2.) Process Engineer

Primary Purpose of the Role

  • Employees in this level will perform full range of duties as assigned including performing skilled maintenance, repair, and installation activities independently
  • Employees at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise, and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.
  • Perform condition-based maintenance on equipment and correct any abnormality during this maintenance
  • Performs preventive maintenance & makes repairs on equipment’s according to instructions such as replacing belts on motors, changing filters, bearings, etc
  • Maintains and makes routine repairs to electrically powered equipment and appliances as per instruction on equipment service manuals
  • Perform main machine repairs, modifications, or improvement work such as hydraulic systems repair and periodic flashing, periodic repair and inspection of electric units, portable electrical equipment repair & inspection, repair of gear boxes, replacement of bearings etc

Academic Qualifications

  • First Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial and Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Professional qualifications: Professional qualification in related field is an added advantage
  • Work experience
  • Should have worked as Engineering Technician, Process Engineer, or Maintenance Engineer for at least 5 years in a busy FMCG.
  • Process and maintenance experience on Injection and Extrusion molding machine

Skills:

  • In-depth proven practical knowledge and experience in areas of maintenance
  • Ability to demonstrate a systematic approach to problem-solving
  • Ability troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to participate in failure investigation and root cause analysis and close out of corrective actions

3.) Electrical Technician

Job Key Outputs

  • Maintains and makes routine repairs to electrically powered equipment and appliances as per instruction from senior technicians, supervisor and/or equipment service manuals
  • Assists in servicing and replacing major electrical and mechanical fixtures
  • Perform main machine repairs, modifications, or improvement work such as hydraulic systems repair and periodic flashing, periodic repair and inspection of electric units, portable electrical equipment repair & inspection, repair of gear boxes, replacement of bearings etc
  • Conduct functional tests on electrical equipment as a requirement for facility changes, upgrades, and modifications
  • Performs preventive maintenance & makes repairs on equipment’s according to instructions such as replacing belts on motors, changing filters, bearings, etc
  • Perform condition-based maintenance on equipment and report any abnormality to the maintenance supervisor
  • Update all the relevant job card, logbooks, as required
  • Perform other duties as required by the position and/or department supervision

Job Specification
Academic Qualifications:

  • B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Trade Test I, II and III

Work Experience:

  • Should have worked as technician for at least 4 years in a busy FMCG environment if a certificate holder or 3 years if a diploma holder
  • Two years of experience as a technician in a busy FMCG environment for a B.Sc or Higher National Diploma holder
  • Experience working in BIC Factory is an added advantage

Operational Competencies:

  • In-depth proven practical knowledge and experience in areas of maintenance

4.) Mould Technician

Job ID: 2390
Job Location: Sagamu, Ogun

Job Description

  • Assists in servicing and replacing major mechanical fixtures on the mold.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on molds and report any abnormality to the Mould Engineer.
  • Perform main moulds repairs, modifications, or improvement work.
  • Update all the relevant job card, logbooks, as required.
  • Fix issue as they occur and perform periodic inspections.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE’s.
  • Perform other duties as required by the position and/or department supervision.
  • Working independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Routine check on equipment and identification of abnormalities.
  • Adhere to procedures.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping in workplace.
  • Generating the required documents on time.
